6.5 Scope of Sales/Usage Report Messages

A Sales Report Message created in accordance with this standard may contain data relating to multiple territories, multiple currencies, multiple use types and multiple commercial model types as well as different service descriptions (collectively sometimes referred to as the sales context).

Where more than one sales context is reported in a single Sales Report Message, Message Sender and Message Recipient both must agree how this is managed. Specifically, if either Message Sender or Message Recipient is unable to either create or ingest such multi-featured Sales Report Messages, it is not permitted to use that approach. In that case only one sales context, which would either be evident from the relevant Summary Record or agreed between Sender and Recipient, shall be contained in a Sales Report Message.
