6.6.6 Splitting Sales/Usage Report Messages

A Message Sender may separate a Sales Report Message into several individual files. When a Message Sender does so, the following rules apply:

  1. All files shall carry the header Record(s) defined in Part 8 of this standard; and

  2. All files shall carry the footer Record(s) defined in Part 8 of this standard.

It is not permissible to split a Block. Therefore, a Block will always be in a single file.

It is not permitted to split a file in accordance with a Single Record Block Variant.
