6.3 Single-file Sales/Usage Reports
The Sales/Usage Reports defined in the DSR standard are delimiter-separated value plain text files. Sales/Usage Reports created in accordance with the various parts of the DSR standard comprise the following sequence of Records:
Exactly one
HEAD
Record as defined in Part 8 of the DSR standard;
One or more Records defined in accordance with the relevant profile that provide summary data about the transactions listed in 3 below;
None, one or more Blocks of Records defined in accordance with the relevant profile that provide detailed data about transacted releases, resources and/or musical works, and the sales and/or usage data relating to such transacted releases, resources and/or musical works; and
Exactly one
FOOT
Record as defined in Part 8 of the DSR standard.
This structure is shown in Figure 2. The indentation is for illustration purposes only.

It is permissible to send a Sales/Usage Report with just a HEAD
Record, at least one summary Record and a FOOT
Record, and no other Records. This would indicate that no sales and/or usage data is being reported.
