Version 1.4 updates the file naming convention to enable the inclusion of the name or identifier of a service company in the licensee and the licensor segment, in circumstances where either the licensee or the licensor is using that service company to perform certain processes on its behalf.

Version 1.4 also references DDEX’s new approach to managing allowed value sets in the form of a central list instead of using, in the case of the DSR standard, Part 2: Allowed Value Sets of the Digital Sales Reporting Message Suite. This Part 2 of the DSR standard is now deprecated.

Version 1.4 also updates the communication of integers in decimal Cells and clarifies how to handle cases where the licensee has no data for a mandatory Cell and how to handle deprecated Cells.

In addition, this version aligns the language used to that used in other DDEX standards.

Version 1.3 provides support for two additional profiles:

  • Part 9: Financial Reporting to Record Companies Profile; and

  • Part 10: Masterlist Profile.

Version 1.3 also enhances the use of delimiters by allowing for the communication of nested lists in one Cell, for example, where multiple identifiers for multiple writers of a work need to be communicated.

Version 1.2 enables licensees and licensors to agree a different file size limit than that which is defined in this part of the DSR standard. Version 1.2 also makes the handling of Secondary Delimiters easier.

Version 1.1 enables the communication of which version of Parts 2: Allowed Value Sets and Part 8: Record Type Definition that is being used to create a particular Sales/Usage Report and also strengthens the choreography and acknowledgement process.
